I recently stayed at Auberge Borda for my Camino Frances journey. The hotel is conveniently located on the walking route to Roncesvalles, making it a perfect stop between St Jean and Roncesvalles. The hotel is well-appointed, with amenities such as a washer dryer available. The dinner provided was excellently prepared and catered to help hikers fuel up for the next day. The wine selection was also great. The host, Laurent, made our stay even more memorable by engaging us in conversations about our Camino experience. It was a truly wonderful way to start our journey.
I totally recommend this hotel.

When it comes to value for money, Auberge Borda really nailed it. The room was comfortable and clean, and the view in the morning with the sunrise was simply unreal. The staff treated us with exceptional hospitality, making us feel right at home.
The hotel breakfast menu could benefit from a bit more variety.

We had a perfect stay at Auberge Borda. the hospitality was brilliant, with the owner Laurent taking care of every detail. the whole place was spotless and our room was very comfortable. We opted for the private room, but all the other rooms were great too. the communal dinner was excellent, and we enjoyed a delicious breakfast as well. the location of the Auberge is unbeatable, as it is situated between St, Jean, Pied, de, Port and Roncesvalles. We were also impressed by the total peace and quiet, and the incredible views from the property. Cons: No issues 👍.

We had the most amazing experience at this hidden gem along the Camino de Santiago. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by our host, who had a deep knowledge and passion for the area. The communal dinner was a highlight of our stay, with delicious food and an atmosphere that encouraged camaraderie among the pilgrims. Our host provided invaluable advice on the best routes and even served as a translator during dinner. The accommodations were clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect for splitting up the challenging first stage of the French Camino. I highly recommend this place for a memorable start to your Camino journey.

Beautiful, eco-friendly albergue in a stunning location with breathtaking views of the mountains and valleys. Thoughtfully designed and renovated with small, separate cabins for each room. Communal dinner on the terrace was excellent. Highly recommended for pilgrims on the Camino Frances. Unforgettable experience.

We had a great stay in this new place surrounded by breathtaking views of the Pyrenees. the beds were comfortable with convenient plug sockets and curtains. the communal dinner and breakfast were delicious and included in the stay. the host was attentive, even translating for everyone at dinner. the house ran on solar power, which was impressive. the location was perfect for splitting the first stage of the Camino de Santiago.
It would have been nice to have a sink in the main staging room for washing clothes.

Auberge Borda in Saint-Michel is beautifully situated on the Napoleon route over the Pyrenees on the Camino Frances. My host, Laurent, went above and beyond to make my stay unforgettable. the facilities were amazing, with stunning views and delicious food. Laurent, being a former pilgrim himself, made sure everyone got to know each other during the communal dinner and provided excellent advice for the rest of the pilgrimage. It was the perfect way to begin my Camino de Santiago journey. Thank you, Laurent!

I had a blast hiking and cycling, although I almost tripped a few times. The shared lounge made me feel like a celebrity, and the free WiFi saved me from boredom.
Oh, what a shame! I couldn't enjoy the continental breakfast because I was busy sleeping off my hiking and cycling-induced exhaustion.

The shared lounge at this accommodation is a cozy haven where guests can unwind after a day of hiking, feeling like a warm embrace. Every morning, I walked into the garden and was greeted by a symphony of birds and vibrant flowers, like a mini Eden hiding in the Pyrenees. The terrace offered a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains, as if nature had painted a grand masterpiece just for me. The free WiFi throughout the property was my lifeline to the outside world, allowing me to stay connected and share my adventures with friends and family. The continental breakfast was a delicious spread that fueled me for a day of hiking, with fresh pastries and aromatic coffee that oozed a touch of French charm. Being the last inn before Spain, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation, like a traveler on the brink of a great adventure.
None.

The location was amazing, with beautiful views of the mountains and valleys. It was the perfect spot to soak in the natural beauty and relax. the albergue itself was well-designed and environmentally friendly. the private rooms were cozy and comfortable, providing a nice retreat after a long day of hiking. the communal dinner was a great opportunity to meet other pilgrims and make connections. the food was delicious and the atmosphere was inviting. it was a wonderful first night on the Camino.
There wasn't much to do besides enjoy the scenery, which, while beautiful, can get repetitive after a while. the lack of Wi-Fi was a downside for me, as I like to stay connected during my travels.
